Ascent Trip Report

Took the boat to Lucerne (Holden) then the bus to Holden ($15 r/t cash fare). Hiked up to Holden Lake in light rain. Made camp at the lake at one of the pre-existing sites. Next morning departed camp at 7AM and followed the directions in the excellent existing TR. Arrived on summit at 3PM. Followed new bear tracks up the glacier to a point near the rocks. Had some new snow from the prior night. Rappelled down 3 sections using a single 70m rope and downclimbed the remaining sections back to the snow. Arrived back in camp at 9PM. Weather was perfect for the climb. Hiked back out to Holden the next morning in 2 hours.
