Ascent Trip Report4th Annual CC Birthday climb! Camped at 3650ft (above "climbers camp") in an open clearing. Climb was pretty straight forward, no major route finding road blocks. Took the South couloir route, and ended up climbing a rather steep notch to gain the summit ridge rather than traverse to the north of the ridge. In hindsight a rope would have been helpful for this spot as there is about 30ft of mid class 5 with a large run out. Those with the skills and nerves made it up to enjoy summit beers and cigars. 10/14 in our group summited. Be careful of rockfall on this climb anywhere above 4500ft. Lots of loose rock make this climb dangerous. Try to keep party size small (14 in our group was about double what I would like). HELMETS ARE A MUST!I came across 5 other people climbing this mountain without helmets and proper gear and flat out told them to turn around. This isn't a climb to take lightly.
