Ascent Trip ReportStandard peakbaggers' route: from Willow Lake (11,840 ft.), up the north slopes of Challenger Pt., over the summit of Challenger, down (about 300 ft.) to the Kit Carson/Challenger saddle, then first up and then down along "Kit Carson Avenue" to the class 2+ gully at its end, and a short scramble to the summit. 5 hrs. up, 3hr., 15 min. down. Clouds threatened in the morning, but produced to precipitation, or wind.
