Ascent Trip Report

We hiked in during the afternoon to a camp at Mistymoon Lake. Very pretty area. Some evening thundershowers giving way to heavy rain. Awoke the next morning to cloud cover and we had a poor forecast. After probing the peak a bit we bailed. Of course the visibility lifted. I think I was a little bit fatigued at this point as well and suffering from burnout as I lacked the proper motivation for this peak. Hard to put a finger on exactly why. Lack of good sleep maybe. I guess if you gotta go back then this is certainly a great area to go back to. Found the bootpath heading up and it was a bit to the L of the waterfall on Paint Rock Creek and once you had passed through the flat meadowy area this bootpath was rather well beaten into the ground.
