Ascent Trip Reportour trip began on saturday with hopes of mmaking it to high camp. there was an unexpected amount of snow beginning pretty close to the railroad grade trailhead and as a result we lost the route and taking many detours we ended up camping just down below the ridge probably at around 5600 feet or so. It was a long and strenuos day and I got a quick lesson on scrambling/scaling the side of a rock wall appx 50'down. FUN stuff. My pack was 36lbs. The weather was great on Sat. Sunday the weather took a turn for the worst and never got better which is why we did not make a summit attempt--in the end. Boo hoo. I will have to try again. Spread some of mom's ashes at the crop of rock @ high camp on Monday morn. with chris and andy. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything in the world--except a summit next time!!!
