Ascent Trip ReportI parked at the snowplow turn-around at 10:00 AM and hiked the woods road with Sierra. We headed up Vly first, which would be my first solo "bushwhack". The herd path was marked much better than I expected. We found the canister with no problem, and retraced our steps to the cabin. The route to Bearpen was more of a creek than an old road. Recent rainfall contributed to a fair amount of runoff. The northern view from Bearpen was a surprise, especially since the clouds lifted just moments before I arrived. We return to the PA by 1:45 PM. Total Distance - 7 miles
