Ascent Trip ReportI joined Adam and Andy for a 3 day backpack and summit of Mt Cleveland. Beautiful area. Took the ferry across Waterton Lake to Goathaunt. From there we hiked south to Stoney Indian Lake where we camped for the night. We started a little before daylight the next morning, hiked up to Stoney Indian Pass and then climbed the steep southwest ridge of Stoney Indian to access the ledge system. This was the longest ledge walk I have ever done. It is nearly 2 miles before reaching the Cleveland/Stoney saddle. There was some fresh snow on Cleveland. We saw a mountain goat and signs of bear. Beautiful gorgeous day!!! Wow!! I want to go back.
