Ascent of Hunter Mountain-Southwest Peak on 2009-10-25| Date: | Sunday, October 25, 2009 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Hunter Mountain-Southwest Peak | | Location: | USA-New York | | Elevation: | 3740 ft / 1139 m |
Ascent Trip ReportEasy Trip up, diamond notch trial ridiculously easy, waterfall kinda nice, then came the climb on the devils path, needless to say this part of the trail fails to meet its name,
then at the cairn i followed the herd trail to the second cairn and then to the summit, to my delight, their wasnt any serching to find the canister,
The herd trail was better then most the devils path, cant belive this is a bushwack, though i can see nightmares if you dont follow the herd trail, summit to flat to tell a true high point by feel
