Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Big Junction and searched for trail shown on the 1957 Big Junction Topo. Due to all the thorny growth, I went about 20 yards past the North end of the parking pull-off and headed straight into the woods. There is an old overgrown jeep trail that leads to the summit. After the false summit, the trail gets seriously overgrown with blackberries well above your head. There are grassy areas off on the sides that are easier to negotiate. It seems the aggregate square is the high point in the meadow, but a winter ascent with a metal detector may be required.
