Ascent Trip ReportI approached Desert Ridge from Desert Cone and Klamath Ridge. the appraoach was all through a lodgepole pine forest and it was easy route finding. The ridge line is rocky and drops sharply off to the east and Gaywas Peak. After finding the highpoint of Desert Ridge I descended this steep slope to the east and went on the tag the summit of Gaywas Peak before hiking back to the viewpoint on the road for the Pumice Desert. All the hiking stats are combined on this TR.
