Ascent Trip ReportFrom near Hat Point the road continues north. The road is a little rougher, but it is still 2WD. At about 4 miles there is a formal trailhead that requires a Northwest Forest Pass to park. A restroom is available. There is a little trail heading east from the parking area and it climbs up to the ridge. Once at the ridge, turn right and follow it to the high point about 500 ft away. This is open country with grass and wild flowers and some small trees. The ara burned in a forst fire in 1989.
