Ascent Trip Report

This was an exceptionally easy, open-country, walk up a broad pumice slope. As fantastic as the cliff of this peak looks from the other side of Crater Lake, it's kind of a snoozer from the road. We started at an unnamed pull-out to the NNW of the peak and walked up the slope until we got to the top. The wind was particularly fierce in one little draw, but almost dead-calm everywhere else. That, the lake, and the view of Thielsen to the north were the only notable things about this ascent.
