Ascent Trip Report

Rhonda and I were late to the TH, and our friends Jay and Roberta Arden had already headed for the summit with Bob and Dottie Martin by the time we arrived. We met them while they were on their way down toward the Copper-Midnight saddle, and they said they'd wait for us at the saddle. We all ate lunch at the saddle, then Bob and Roberta and I headed for Midnight. I got first-hand experience with Bob Martin's "way" -- getting as many P300s as possible every single day he was out. Amazing man, and what a treat to spend two days with him, on his only trip to Washington as it turned out. I'm forever grateful to my friends Jay and Roberta for arranging that amazing weekend.
