Ascent Trip ReportGeorge Quittmeyer (my then brother-in-law), my dad Earl Bolton, and me on the summit of Mt. Whitney on Sep. 5, 1965
Photo taken on Earl Bolton's old Exacta SLR sitting on a rock. This is one of the models with the pop-up viewer on top that was used before the availability of the pentaprism viewer, so the image in the viewer was upside down and backwards.
George and I were cold, and I had altitude sickness with a splitting headache and nausea, as this photo shows by the look on my face.
