Ascent Trip Report

We took 5 young guys ranging in age from 11-15 from the West Side of Buffalo, NY to climb Basin and Saddleback. We backpacked in and camped just above Bushnell Falls. One of the young guys had a fear of heights but his parents forced him to go. We never found out until we had already left the trailhead. He made it up the mountain clinging for dear life to the rock face. Great climb! City kids on a mountain, a great way to teach about the mountains of life!
