Ascent Trip ReportAfter Backpacking Day-1 is done, we slept at Crocker Cirque Tentsite which is off from AT, we started Backpacking Day-2 hike on 7/4/2010. Around 9AM, we departed campsite and hiked down 0.9 mi to return to Caribou Pond Road where my car was parked 1 day before. We off loaded camping gear in my car, obtained 4L of water from water tank in my car. We continued AT hike toward South to grab 3 4K footers (Sugarloaf, Spaulding and Abraham) in series. We hiked out on Fire Warden Trail from the summit of Mt Abraham. Fire Warden Trail has no sign from the summit of Mt Abe. So hikers should be able to read map and compass to find out where the unmaintained trail (= Fire Warden Trail) starts from the summit. Be careful....
