Ascent Trip Report

Hiked from Moskey Basin-Daisy Farm and then up to Mt. Ojibway where I saw what has to be one of the most beautiful vantage points in the entire midwest from atop the observation tower there. Breathtaking is all I can say!!! It was one of those moments where it feels great to be alive. The LORD's handiwork is amazing! From there I headed east on the Greenstone Ridge trail to bag Mt. Franklin which was another beautiful spot just not AS amazing as the Mt. Ojibway views. From there I headed down the trail to 3 mile campground to meet up with my hiking partner who wasn't up for a hike that day onto the rugged Greenstone Ridge. Will have to bag the Island (and National Park) High point on a future trip (Mt. Desor) Isle Royale is a special place indeed! Anyone who wants to see some of the best of the Midwest needs to make a stop here.
