Ascent Trip ReportOn my way home from Denali, we decided to nip to Japan to go up Mt Fuji. Due to breaking trail through a foot of snow for a good proportion of the way up and due to poor visibility and a need to rush to get the bus back to Tokyo we decided not to press on to the true summit of Mount Fuji and settle for the sub-peak. Still a good effort getting to the top of this sub peak on a day trip to Japan (arrived in Japan late in the afternoon of the 8th June and flew back to the UK on the morning of the 10th June. 36 hours in Japan and an out of season ascent to the crater rim of Mt Fuji - not bad going (just as well that I was acclimatised from being on Denali).
