Ascent Trip Report

This was an awesome day! Got my friends Roger and Eric to come along. Roger had climbed Cascade and Porter with me the year before but this was Eric's first high peak. I live in Northville so the ride was kind of long. On the way up Eric pulls out these survival tablets that he had in his gear. He said he would give each of us 5 bucks if we ate one. I should have just said no but it couldn't be that bad right? I got through about half of this horse pill and had to stop. Roger fared worse and soon enough we were pulling over so he could throw up and we could stop laughing. Giant is such a great climb the many different ridges where you can stop and take in the views make the whole climb special. Only negative on this trip was that we got off to a late start so it was dark when we got back to the trailhead.
