Ascent Trip Report

I accessed Barlow Ridge from Hwy 35. Just east of the Barlow Road signed exit there is another forest service road that accesses the east side of Barlow Ridge. The road was blocked with snow drifts at about 4,600 ft. I hiked up the road and then crosscountry up the east side Barlow Ridge to the high point. Still 2-3 ft of snow on the east side under the forest canopy but it was consolidated. Fantastic views of Mt Hood. I could see climbers hiking up along the Palmer ski lift and then above.
