Ascent Trip ReportI needed to take a second PE class for college credits so I signed up for golf. Golf got cancelled so I took hiking instead. It's funny how things like that work out. On the first day of class the instructor handed out a brochure about the Fire Tower Challenge. On that same day we climbed Kane Mt. and I was hooked. I had already climbed Cascade and Porter but as anyone that's climbed in the high peaks knows it's really a different experience. So Kane was officially #1 in my quest of the FTC. As I remember it was a nice sunny day ascent only took like 20 mins. Tower was open and the view of the surrounding lakes was awesome. I've since climbed Kane again with my daughter so it's also her first peak in the challenge.
