Ascent Trip ReportI hiked out to East Point from the road to Pisgah Lookout. The topo shows a road, but it has been returned to nature. Much of the area was burned in a forest fire and there are lots of downed trees to step over. About half way out to the summit, I did find a faint old roadbed that I followed to the base of East Point and where the wilderness boundary is located. There is a new cheesy barbed wire fence there also to keep the cows out of the wilderness. I saw a few cows and they mostly ignored me. Nice views from the summit.
