Ascent Trip Report***Private Hike***
First of two peaks Tanya and I climbed today; the second peak was Mt Harwood. Route was from Mankar Flat to the Ski Hut, across Baldy Bowl to the west ridge, up ridge to summit of Baldy and then east along ridge from Baldy to Mt Harwood. Egress along Devil's Backbone Trail to Baldy Ski Lodge and then down fireroad between Ski School and Rental Shop Bldgs to its intersection with Mankar Flat Rd, then west along Mankar Flat Road past San Antonio Falls to Mankar Flat. No snow present on our route, but the north slopes of Baldy and Harwood are still covered with abundant snow. Route as measured with GPS was 10.2 miles, 3,900' of gain.
