Ascent Trip Reportforest service signs claim it's 6 miles to summit from trail head; hiking guidebooks estimate 4.7. I'd guess the latter is closer to the truth. Steep trail with more than a dozen stream crossings but otherwise not difficult. Great views from the Lobo Trail ridgeline.
