Ascent Trip ReportFor a maintained trail, the summit trail sure had some challenges - bushwhacking (often through thorns), much snow traversing, and even several places where route-finding was needed (usually because the trail was lost under snow). The snow was mostly in manageable patches, though there was a large section (from 8,680' to 9,000') where the snow coverage was consistently several feet.
The views from the summit were spectacular!
Tim Newman joined me for the hike, but chose to pass on the final summit as one had to cross a bit of steep snow to reach the final rocks.
