Ascent Trip ReportFrom CR-1 in NW Schuyler County, go south on Potomac Road about one mile to a parking area on the left and some marked trailheads. Walk west on the damp trail heading toward the north-south Interlocken Trail that runs along Hector Backbone. After about 1/2 mile turn right (N) on the signed Interlocken Trail which passes almost directly over the summit about 300 feet north.
Retrace your steps and drive south about 3/4 mile to where the central bump rises about 200 feet west of the road. Easy bushwhack to high ground.
Drive south just past the next intersection, where paths lead both east and west into the woods. The area to the west has some vertical rise, but the area to the east has almost none and need not be visited.
