Ascent Trip Report***HPS Sierra Club Hike
Leaders: Joe Young, Diane Dunbar
Peaks: Mount Williamson (8244') with not enough time to do Goodykoontz Peak (7558').
Stats: 4.0 miles, +1630' going up via Route 1, coming down via Route 2. Got a ride from the ranger to my car parked at Route 1; normally, it'd be a 1.5 mile road walk.
Route 1 had sections of the trail covered in snow, making for some interesting snow traverses. Ended up going up a steep screep slope to bypass some of these. Leaders did not want anyone hurt so we came down via Route 2 and had to hitch a ride to our cars, all parked at Route 1 trailhead!
