Ascent Trip Report

First climb for Chris in the Adirondacks. My second assent of Cascade.
Chris likened it to Step Aerobics.
Before the summit push there is a lookout ledge off the trail to the left, while taking in the view I commented on the steam rising from Chris's shoulders as she stood there.
After the climb we went into Lake Placid and on the return trip traveling along 73 you get this fantastic view of Cascade. That view and knowing she had succeeded in climbing that peak brought tears to her eyes.

In 2013 while staying at a rental in Au Sable Forks, Mindy and Don Conning decided to hike Cascade as their first High Peaks adventure, they included Porter on that climb. I was off doing a Fire tower at the time and did not want to hike with them feeling I would only slow them down.
