Ascent Trip Report

I was surprised at the quality of outdoor recreation available near El Paso, from climbing at Hueco Tanks to hiking in the Franklins. I would probably not want to be here in July, but April was great. The route up is very easy to follow, as it is an old jeep track. The view from the top is great except for the piece of junk inhabiting the summit - some kind of weather thingy maybe. The weather was great - sunny, no wind, and temps in the 70's. Overall, a great way to spend half a day in El Paso.
