Ascent of Mount Abraham on 2010-04-24
|Date:||Saturday, April 24, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Motorized Transport to Trailhead:||Car|
| Elevation:||4006 ft / 1221 m|
Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful weather. Took the Long Trail to the summit. Very rocky and rooty with a decent amount of compressed snow on the trail from about the mid-way point up.
Best view of any VT 4000 footer in my opinion. 360 degrees and gorgeous. Not too many hikers encountered as this is not one of VT's sexy peaks, so it's nice and quiet on the hike. Will have to enjoy this one again.
