Ascent Trip Report

Short bushwack.

The Dufferin County Highpoint is at the north-end of the County a short distance south of Grey County Highpoint.
From the Grey Conty Highpoint travel south on Hwy #124 to Redickville, then west on CR21 for 4.6km to a right turn on 8th Line. Motor northwest on 8th Line for 1km and park the car, this is the TH ..... the Highpoint is a short bushwack 100M to the left (southwest) on the ridge in front of you.
The summit is in private fenced-in property, I walked up the road a very short distance to a gate with a narrow man-way, then hiked cross-country/bushwacked up a steep embankment to the top of the ridge. I hiked the whole length (300M) of the ridge, signs of human traffic, the highpoint is not obvious an a number of bumps are candidates. According to my not-too-accurate instruments (eye level/GPS) the Highpoint is the furthest north bump, wooded with no views (my GPS coordinates 44.20807, 80.28166).
