Ascent Trip Report

Beautiful spring day for a long hike. Jim and I started out around 9:30 am and hiked the Blueberry Ledge trail to the summit of Mt. Whiteface. Barely used the microspikes for this trail but there were some icy patches along the way. The ledges were challenging but fun to climb. Fantastic views from the south side of the summit. We continued along the BL trail to the Rollins Trail heading to Passaconaway. Picked up the Dicey Mills trail to the summit but somehow ended up taking the Walden Trail instead then came down the Dicey Mills trail. The Walden Trail was definitely a challenge after hiking for several hours already. The snow was deep and slushy but we were able to get through without snowshoes. Long and tiring but well worth it.
