Ascent Trip ReportFortunately the PCH trail was better placed than it appeared on the topo map - it did not have any of several up and down 200' diversions. It was a great hike up to 6700'. From there, there was a faint use trail going up the slope towards Scodie Mountain, but we were unable to follow it beyond the ridge. That said, the route-finding from the top of the ridge to the summit was not difficult- avoiding brush was the main challenge.
The views from the summit exceeded my high expectations - an incredible 360 degree view covering much of the southern Sierra Nevada and northern Mojave desert.
