Ascent Trip ReportLovely day for a hike. Wanted to meet the resupply Llama's at LeConte Lodge, so we left at 7am since I didn't know how long it would take Katie to get up. Very interesting hike. Katie didn't like the exposure and the rocks were all wet from the rain the previous day. Katie found an orange newt on the way in to Arch Rock. Took a break at Alum Cave and watched Peregrine Falcons swooping about. From Alum, things got a bit more challenging with the rock steps. Fogged in from 5000 feet and above. Katie transformed into a "BALL OF RAGE" after the second steep, wet rock steps. I would ask: "How are you?" She would reply: "I am a Ball of Rage, thanks." Got to the lodge at 12:30. I went ahead and bagged the summit and Myrtle, with no views due to fog. Got Cliff Top, but not West Point...I remembered there were 3 highpoints, but thought Myrtle was one of them. Katie got to see her Llama's and even got to feed them, so she was happy. However, BOR (Ball of Rage) reappeared on the way back down. Very proud of Katie, as this was a tough day.
