Ascent Trip ReportStarted at Bailey Canyon TH. Climbed Jones Peak, Hastings Peak, and Mount Yale. It was a beautiful day out and only crossed paths with two other people all day. I did run into a deer on the ridge between Hastings Peak and the Mt. Wilson Toll Road. It was only about 30 feet away and was just staring at me. On the way back down from the summit of Mount YaleI almost stepped directly on a snake and, because I initially thought it might be a rattlesnake, I changed my footing at the last second and almost twisted the **** out of my ankle. I got soo lucky. Anyways, i started at 7:50am and was back at the car at 11:35am. I would recommend going down at the toll road until the ridge fire break is reached on the right, and taking this to the summit of Mount Yale rather than using the "use trail" that was recommended to me. It was very overgrown and full of ticks and not good at all. I returned the other way and it was much much better.
