Ascent Trip ReportHiked up the west side of McLoughlin. All snow hike with snowshoes and then crampons. Hot day. when I got up high the snow was melting fast and I was post holing up to my chest at times. When I hit the north ridge just short of the summit, I turned back. Great 2,700 ft glissade in soft snow coming down.
