Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Petersburg Pass along NY route 2 and hiked south on the Taconic Crest Trail to reach the summit of Berlin Mountain. This part of the TCT followed old roads from trailhead to summit, and parts of it were quite wet, rocky, and muddy. There was also a very steep and rocky section not far from the NY 2 trailhead. The summit was open and grassy, with good easterly views and some restricted views toward the north and west. Descended the same way.
