Ascent Trip ReportTrip began from Route 73, left with only one other hiker (Jon Coppi), hit trail at about 10:15 AM. Relatively easy hike, reached summit in an hour (2.4 mi). Chilly start, but warmed up quite nicely, resulting in a very clear day with great visibility. On the descent, took the Porter trail to the summit (.7 mi). More great views, rested here about 20 minutes. Descended fairly rapidly, trail began to be much more crowded as the afternoon went on. Very rewarding and enjoyable hike, returned to car at about 12:30 PM, possibility for FFRT hike.
