Ascent Trip ReportCombined this with the two Warren County highpoints. From the northern cohp, continue along the path and road that work around the the NW and N of the reservoir. The side trail shown (on the topo) leaving the reservoir and heading roughly north to the A.T. seems to have reverted to nature, but its route is a workable bushwhack to the A.T. Once on the trail it's less than 1/2 mile to the summit of Mohican with its huge cairn and spectacular 360 degree views. I started this hike at the Garvey Springs trailhead opposite the large parking lot off Old Mine Road in Worthington State Forest. See my reports on cohp.org for directions to the two county highpoints. From Mohican, return on the A.T. to the upper terminus of the Garvey Springs Trail and descend to Old Mine Road. This hike took about 4 1/2 hours at a leisurely pace.
