Ascent Trip Report

Most of the Catskills had no snow on most of the mountain but not Blackhead. It still had 3-5 feet of snow. Under prepared with no snowshoes in soft deep snow. It was a hot day so going up we didn't break through until higher up but coming down unfortunately we postholed a lot. Next day rented snowshoes for a few ranges south and most of the trail they were unnecessary.
