Ascent Trip Report

Hiked from Beaver Brook parking area and bushwhacked it to Gale River Rd. and Trailhead up to AMC Galehead Hut. We proceeded 0.2 mi. to summit of Galehead first, and then back down to hut. From hut we headed 0.8 mi to the South Twin summit. We encountered winds gusting over 70mph on the South Twin summit. We spent 5-10 minutes on the summit and headed back down.
