Ascent Trip ReportTrails were mostly covered in snow. The snow melt created more than a few trickling streams down the trail path, making for a moderately challenging climb through the mud, snow, and water. Despite the conditions, the trail was very manageable and both the acending and descending routes were great, interesting trails (lot of ridges, turns, ascents and descents). Was glad to have the hiking poles though. This was a good time of year to do the trail because it was less crowded. The summit has 3 cell towers, a lookout tower, and when the park is open there is a road that cars can take to the summit as well, so not a great destination it would appear for summer hikers. Great views of Monadnock and North Pack Monadnock from the summit.
