Ascent Trip Report

We knew it was early in the season, but we figured we'd try Virgin Peak anyway. The road (from the south) ceases to be passable at about 4480', where a major boulder blocks the narrow canyon. We hiked up the road about 2.5 miles, then climbed the ridge to the west, which is the south ridge leading up to the peak. Parts of the ridge had some challenging bushwhacking, made more challenging by snow covering clearer ground, but snow was really only an issue the last half mile or so.

The summit register (assuming there was one) was buried under snow, so we left a new one.
