Ascent Trip ReportWhen we got down from the set-up camp, we realized we would be waiting for a little while. It was only 6:30pm, and our rendez-vous was at 7:00. So we propped ourselves on the plowed snow banks and watched the stars in the completely clear sky for a while. We saw a few shooting stars and after almost 20 minutes we got a little cold. We decided to get in a car and park facing the road. After doing so, it was only minutes until François showed up. He was only 10 minutes late, and getting ready to head back up warmed us.
The hike to camp was uneventful and took about 20 minutes. When we came in camp, water was already hot and it took only a few minutes before we had food and hot drinks ready. The meal was enjoyable and after topping it off with warm spice wine, we crept in our tents for the night.
