I enjoy hiking and climbing in the mountains. I pursue highpoints and have lists I wish to accomplish; however, I also enjoy seldom visited obscure peaks that involve scrambling up to Class IV. I also enjoy river running, off-road exploring, and cycling (in that order). My favorite hikes/climbs to date include ones I have done with one or more of my children (Mt. Elbert, Guadalupe Peak, Mt San Jacinto on snowshoes, and several others) and some seldom visited peaks in the Windriver Range in Wyoming (Lizard Head Peak, Payson Peak, and Washakie Peak). Other favorites include climbs with friends who share the same passion for hiking/climbing steep desert peaks such as Picacho and Weaver's Needle.
