Ascent Trip Report

I parked in a tiny pullout on the west side of Devils Mountain Road, immediately south of Amick Road and just before the locked gate barring car access. There was no negative signage. The road was well maintained and easy walking all the way to the summit. I wish I had brought my mountain bike--that is definitely the way to do this peak. A good part of the road goes though a clear cut now overgrown with impenetrable brush.

There are at least eight communication towers on the summit--I stopped for a snack but was a bit afraid of all the EMF radiation in the vicinity. There are not many views due to all the brush. Near the highest point (thankfully not inside a fenced tower complex) there is a small vista point to the east towards Big Lake, and a few hundred yards below the summit a short spur road leads to a large clearing offering views west towards the Sound.
