I've been bagging peaks of various sorts since I was 16. I started with the L.A. Sierra Club's Hundred Peaks Section, Sierra Peaks Section, and Desert Peaks Section (completing the first of those lists in 1997; I'll probably never finish the other two although I still hit a new DPS peak every once in a while). I moved on to Mazamas lists when I moved to Oregon. I tackled the state highpoints next, completing in 1994. I independently started drawing up lists of county highpoints after that; thank goodness I found out that others were already doing much of that map work!

I'm now based in the Seattle area. My current interests include prominent peaks (especially those with 2000' or more of prominence in the US and Ultra prominences around the world), some county highpoints, and some of the Mountaineers' peak lists. I'm more of a scrambler than a climber, though I've gotten myself up a few of the more difficult peaks when I "needed" to.
